ACADEMICS
Here at South Carolina Scholar Academy, our academic culture is focused and geared for each students success. The College Prep Curriculum offered allows for each individual student to be challenged in such a way that allows them to use critical thinking skills, and solve real world issues with real world solutions. We don't just teach College Prep we are College Prep.
Religion
Here at SCSA, we focus on walking in faith of our Lord, Savior, and Jesus Christ. Starting in K4 students practice religious study work to prepare them for a strong trusting relationship in the Lord.
Science
In our science coursework students are given opportunities to think outside the box. From field trips that encourage scientific questions, and create a lifelong love of Science.
Mathematics
In our Mathematics courses we strive to give students the proper tools to focus on critical thinking skills, to help solve real world math problems. Our math courses are fundamental building blocks as each year students are able to build on previously taught skillsets.
Literature Arts
In this course, students get structured lessons on reading skills, language skills, and literature to help develop comprehension, build vocabulary, and promote a lifelong interest in reading. We also offer creative writing to enhance the writer in all of our students.
Related Arts
Related Arts is an integral part of the educational experience in middle school. Students have the opportunity to explore subjects that are not a substantial part of the core classes.
IDEA - STEM LAB
Our Idea STEM Lab engages students minds in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. From K4 - 8th Grade students are given a skillset that provides them a curriculum that not only increases learning of sciences, and mathematics studies but gives students opportunities to focus on career studies.
